With work, school, and even entertainment revolving around screens, it’s no surprise that Digital Eye Strain (DES) is on the rise. Here’s how to protect your eyes from long hours on devices:
- Adjust Your Screen Settings
Increase text size, lower brightness, and use “night mode” filters. - Blink More Often
We blink less while using screens. Make a conscious effort to blink regularly to keep eyes moist. - Position Your Screen Correctly
The top of your screen should be at eye level, and about 20-24 inches away from your face. - Use Artificial Tears
Lubricating drops can help with dryness and discomfort. - Wear Blue Light Glasses
These lenses reduce glare and block blue light that may disrupt sleep and strain your eyes.
Digital devices are here to stay, but that doesn’t mean your eye comfort has to suffer!
